Kiwicon is coming up on the 16th of November and this year they are running a kids area called Kuracon. Kuracon is being organised by @kiwisarentfruit and will be held on the Saturday from 10am to 5pm and will cost $10 to go to it. From the last mail-out:
“We will have activities ranging from technology deconstruction, kids lock-picking, coding, a cupcake decorating workshop (Saturday afternoon), and a kids demonstration of bypassing tamper evident seals.”
That’s where we come in! We were soooooo excited when they asked if we could run a workshop at Kuracon, so on the Saturday we will be running a kids tamper evident bypassing workshop, with a few other bypasses thrown in as well.
We don’t have it all worked out yet as it depends on what types of tamper evident devices the crew at Kiwicon can get hold of for us but, some of our plans are:
- Bypassing tamper evident labels
- Escaping from tactical zip tie handcuffs
- Bypassing tamper evident pull tight seals
- Opening normal paper envelopes without anyone knowing you have seen what’s inside
- Doing the same with plastic bag envelopes, like AusPost plastic satchels
You can see a bunch of these in our walkthrough from the OzSecCon challenge if you are curious.
So if you have kids or are a kid, come along to Kuracon so we can meet you and bypass stuff together!!! ????
Note: The photo above is not us and we don’t have fire in our workshop ???? We just found this cool picture from Kiwicon X and we are hoping there will be flames like this when we are there!!!
